Photography is the art of capturing a scene with the help of light. The way you light up our subject will decide what will be the outcome. Using the right photographic techniques and appropriate Photography Equipment can certainly take your work to the next level. Here are some tips to get quality photos at night. The stronger the source of light brighter would be the light coming from it. It will cast less shadows and also help in suppressing the texture of the object or subject that you are shooting. This will help you in hiding the unwanted wrinkles and spots, thereby making your product or subject look beautiful. Flash, CFLs, and other equipments do the opposite and are never recommended using as such. Better use a reflector or diffuser to reflect the light such as soft box or umbrella. It is very important to use maximum light while shooting at night. Always remember to off your flash if you are out to shoot at night because then it will start to fire the popup flash to substitute for low light. This will make the background of the object dark. Keep your object close to the light source. If your object is closer to the light source then it would make clear portraits. When the light source is far away it would reduce the quality and the photo may be dark as much part would still remain in dark. So make your object close to light so that each and every park is visible clearly and naturally. Even after adjusting your shutter speed and aperture, you are still not getting enough light into your photography, and then you could consider adjusting/ upping your ISO setting. This setting allows you to shoot in lower light, but it would also add noise to your images. Long exposures can finish your charges in the batteries very quickly. So make sure you are out with some extra batteries if you are planning to shoot photos for long time at night. It is better to use a Tripod then to degrade the photo quality, while shooting at night you may be disturbed by many elements like insects, wind etc. , in this case a tripods helps you to keep your camera still and take sharp photos. Just pressing the shutter button at the last moment can shake your camera, even with a tripod. So better use your camera’s self –timer function to avoid shaking of camera. If your camera supports mirror lock-up function then do use to prevent blurry photos.
